- When does Guild Wars 3 come out?
- There is no release date yet. ArenaNet has confirmed a first beta test for fall 2027 and says full details on timing will come across late 2026 and 2027.
- What platforms is it on?
- PC, including Steam, and PlayStation 5. The PS5 version is the first time a Guild Wars game has been made for home consoles.
- Where and when is it set?
- In Orr, more than a thousand years before the original Guild Wars — a living wilderness frontier rather than the ruined Orr seen in later games.
- Who do I play as?
- A Vaelwarden: a member of an order sworn to protect Orr and its wild spirits. Each player is bonded to a Seeker, a spirit companion that also acts as a mount.
- What kind of game is it?
- ArenaNet calls it a "modern evolution of the MMORPG" — an open-world online RPG that blends action combat with the series' build-crafting, with movement and momentum feeding directly into combat.
- Are there confirmed classes or races?
- Not yet. ArenaNet has confirmed that skills and player choice drive progression, but has not detailed any specific professions, classes, or playable races.
- Is Guild Wars 2 being shut down?
- No. ArenaNet has said it is actively developing three games at once — Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars Reforged, and Guild Wars 3.
- Is this an official ArenaNet site?
